Injector Dynamics' founder Paul Yaw tells us how the current range of ID injectors were born.

Are ID injectors Bosch?

ID is a bosch-based injector but it's FAR from being the same thing.

How do I identify my Injector Dynamics?

Injector Dynamics is the brand, ID1000 is the model = 100lb injectors. If yours say Bosch or Ford, they are not ID1000s. Your other open thread indicates that you have 72lb injectors, I assume modified Bosch 47lb injectors. Injector Dynamics also makes an ID725 injector for our car =72lb.

Are FIC injectors any good?

FIC is great if you need more than 1000cc. The bigger injectors can be tuned for idle much easier. However I haven't found reputable tuner that couldn't tune FIC1000s for idle on a LS engine just fine.

Are ID injectors high impedance?

All Injector Dynamics injectors are high impedance. If your car came with a low impedance injector and a resistor 'box', it will need to be bypassed.

Who makes Injector Dynamics injectors?

The partnership of Injector Dynamics and Bosch Motorsport was formed to combine the unique abilities of two industry leaders, and offer the resulting technology to a new breed of racers.

Are Honda injectors high or low impedance?

Typically, peak and hold Honda injectors will exhibit between 2 to 3 ohms resistance while saturated ones will measure somewhere around 12 ohms. This is all pretty useless and boring information until you do something like an engine transplant or go out and swap your stock fuel injectors for a high-flow set.

Do fuel injectors have serial numbers?

The unique, 4-7 digit serial number can be found at the base of the connector, on the body of the injector.

How many injectors does a Hellcat have?

A 6.4L uses 44lb injectors which are rated at 60psi, the hellcat uses 57lb injectors at 60psi, however since it makes 12lbs of boost the hellcat injectors flow roughly 45.6lbs with a total head pressure of 48psi (60psi rail pressure - 12psi manifold pressure).

How many injectors does a 5.7 Hemi have?

Genuine Siemens Re-Manufactured Set of 8 Fuel Injectors For 04-09 Dodge Durango HEMI 5.7L 53032713AA, 53032713AB.

What size are demon injectors?

Mopar Dodge Demon 700cc OEM Fuel Injectors (Set of 8)

What happens if you don't code injectors?

Non start – In newer systems if you do not code in the injectors the vehicle will not start. Poor / lumpy running – as the injectors are not coded, the ECU will carry on fuelling as if the previous injector was still present, which can cause poor performance.

How do I know what fuel injectors to buy?

Fuel Injectors are sized by their flow rate. Flow rate is a measurement of how much fuel can be delivered over time. It is listed in pounds per hour (lbs./hr.) or cubic centimeters per minute (cc/min.). The right size injector can supply enough fuel under full load conditions at an 80% duty cycle.

How can you tell if you have a piezo injector?

The majority of piezoelectric injectors may be recognised by the location of the leak off pipe, located at the side of the injector and not on the top as seen on the electromagnetic type. The operating fuel pressure within modern common rail systems may exceed 1,800 bar, or 26,100 psi.

Do low impedance injectors need a resistor box?

Running low impedance injectors without a resistor box will substantially increase the temperature of the transistor driver IC due to the increase in current flow. The temperature increase will depend on your driving. If that temperature remains high enough for long enough the driver transistor will be damaged.

How do you know if you have low impedance injectors?

How do I know if my injector is low impedance or high impedance? You can measure the resistance across the two electrical terminals of the injector. If the resistance is between 1.5 and 4.0 Ohm you have low impedance injectors. If the resistance is between 8 and 16 Ohm you have high impedance injectors.

How many ohms should a fuel injector have?

A low impedance injector will have a resistance of around 2.5 to 3 ohms, while a high impedance injector will fall somewhere around 12 ohms. Resistance can be measured with a multimeter across the injector's electric terminals.

Where are the fuel injectors?

Most fuel injectors are at the head of the engine, at the intake manifold near the intake valve. The intake manifold is usually in the middle of the car, close to the dashboard.

What is in fuel injector cleaner?

Fuel injector cleaners are combustible solvents, therefore they are burnt off in the engine while it's running. Three of the most common ingredients in the fuel injector cleaner are polyether amine, polyisobutylene, and polyisobutylene amine.

Do you have to recode injectors?

Coding is fundamentally the most important aspect of CR injector calibration because new and reconditioned injectors alike need to be re-aligned to deliver the correct quantity of fuel at the right time during the combustion stroke, to meet stringent emissions standards.

Are BMW injectors coded?

It's called calibrating the injectors and yea it mandatory. Each injector is different and it would be cheaper if you wrote down the 6 digits so the shop (whomever you choose) doesn't have to pull the engine cover to get them. The code is based on the piezo crystals inside it.

Do injectors need coding BMW?

The coding is needed for the engine to run properly right after injector replacement. Due to the piezo design each injector has different power and flow rates.

Is the Dodge Ghoul real?

The Ghoul is not a real thing, just like it wasn't a real thing when the outlet posted the story in 2019 and 2020. With any luck, this will help make that moronic story go away while also leading enthusiasts to think twice about where they get their information.

How much is a redeye?

The 797-horsepower 2021 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Redeye, "with the most powerful production V-8 engine, a quarter-mile elapsed time of 10.6 seconds and a top speed of 203 miles per hour" will start at $80,090, Dodge announced Monday.
