What is virtual private gateway?

A virtual private gateway is a logical, fully redundant distributed edge routing function that sits at the edge of your VPC. As it is capable of terminating VPN connections from your on-prem or customer environments, the VPG is the VPN concentrator on the Amazon side of the Site-to-Site VPN connection.

Is transit gateway A regional service?

An AWS Transit Gateway is a regional construct that can be seen as a highly scalable cloud router, which also consolidates inbound connectivity into an AWS Region (VPN, VPC, Direct Connect, inter-Region peering). Both AWS Regions in this architecture have an AWS Transit Gateway configured.

Does transit gateway support BGP?
