Ultrasound examinations

In the treatment group, the maximum mean follicle size, prior to rupture, was 30 ± 4.3 mm (range 20–50 mm).

Is a 16 mm follicle good?

In general, in order to achieve maturity, we will wait until the leading follicles are at least 18 mms. It is known, however, that if the follicles reach 16 mms then there is a chance that they will be mature at aspiration (retrieval) during IVF.

Is pregnancy possible with small egg size?

The number of conceivable eggs ready for fertilization depends on the ovary size. Women having smaller ovaries than the normal ones are more likely to face difficulty in conceiving because of lower egg reserve.

Can I get pregnant with 16mm follicle?

Again, assuming that the larger follicles are those responsible for the implantation, it is clear that follicles with FD >16 mm were highly effective as were follicles with FD=16 mm: 31% resulted in a conception, whether they were described as FDMax or not.
